(OOC: Sorry, I've been busy.)
"I see...I, myself, must confess that I wouldn't be able to go without conversation for more than a day," she told him.
Caden raised his eyebrows slightly, thinking that what she said was probably true. He was about to say something in reply when a woman strode around the corner and gave a gasp as she saw them. She looked a bit familiar, but Caden had no idea who she was. So, he did the polite thing and inclined his head to greet her. "Hello."

((OOC: It's fine. I've been too))
At Lady Annikka's surprise, Livana herself almost jumped. She was shocked herself.
"Lady Annikka!" she exclaimed herself, unsure of what to do.
"Hello."
Damnit, Livana thought to herself as the knight greeted the healer. Of course, saying hello is what you do.
She cursed herself again for making her shocked speech sound like Annikka was interrupting something, which of course she wasn't. This conversation could use a few more people.

"Hello."
"Lady Annikka!"
"Lady Livana- Sir Laken," Annikka acknowledged with a relieved smile. "I can't believe I've found you both at once. Lady Delarendiere wants to reassess the diplomatic situation -um, her phrase, not mine- so she's calling a meeting that will go on for at least the next three hours and involves most of the palace officials. Er. Am I interrupting something?"
She wondered if she'd interrupted one of Livana's frequent information-getting trips, and cursed Kaitelanna Delarendiere yet again.
(OOC: Sorry- short)

Livana frowned at the new of the meeting being called. She hadn't even found the report papers yet. She figured she'd answer the question the healer had asked first.
"No, of course, not. Actually," Livana began to explain, glancing quickly back to Caden. "Our conversation was a bit dull...." Not wanting to talk about that anymore, she went on to say, "Is the meeting right now, or a bit later on? I still need to organize something..."
((OOC: I'm not sure of how short this post is going to be, but let me tell you, it feels short.))

"It's now," Annikka said. "Apparently Madam Kaitelanna has received some news about that calls for -what did she say again? Oh, I remember - a reassessment of the diplomatic attitude of this country towards Scanra. And I know it's incredibly inconvenient, but since when has that particular Advisor paid attention to other people's plans? I've just had to leave a lady who looks as if someone took a heavy blunt instrument to her recently in the dubious care of my student and the duty healer. The former of which has orders not to do anything I haven't taught her. Which I don't expect will be followed. All of which is making me rather anxious- so can we go and get the conference over with? Now?" She recalled something. "Oh yes. The Provost says if you're looking for the reports, he's got them."
She turned towards Caden. "You're wanted too, for what Lady Delarendiere likes to call a 'vole's eye view'- I think she means what it's actually like near the Scanran border at the moment."

Livana raised her eyebrows as she listened to Annikka's "little rant".
"Thank you, Annikka. I suppose I'll see him at this conference, anyways."
Not sure of what to do, she stepped out of Caden's room and said, "Yes, let's go, shall we?"

Tayln ran down the hall toward where her brother was in a meeting with Madame Kaitelanna. He had told her to be back from the market half an hour ago! He had sent her with a few coins to get him some pastries for his breakfast. She was mad at herself for being so careless and messing around in the market instead of coming straight back. He would be upset for her interrupting his meeting but she couldn't think of anything else to do. She was so caught up in her thoughts of Matek that she didn't see the people coming out of the knights quarters in front of her. She ran headfirst into the knight who was coming out and dropped all of her pastries. "Sorry! I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed loudly.

(OOC: *claps* Yay for people!)
Caden was rather overwhelmed by the sudden rush of conversation. So he did what he thought was best not to make a fool of himself. Nothing. He just stood there, nodding at random intervals where it was necessary. He left it to Livana to speak for him. Besides, it seemed what was said didn't actually concern him. Caden didn't care for a council meeting, or whatever it was called. Why should he? After all, he had barely been in town for two days. From what he heard this Lady Kaitelanna--or whatever her ridiculous name was--seemed to be the pox.
"You're wanted too, for what Lady Delarendiere likes to call a 'vole's eye view'- I think she means what it's actually like near the Scanran border at the moment," Lady Annikka said quite suddenly.
What?!? Caden thought wildly. Surely, she doesn't need me. Please. He said as much out loud. He didn't really want to sit in a stuffy room and listen (or pretend to) about -what was it?- reassessing the diplomatic situation.
It didn't seem as if he had a choice, Caden followed Livana out of the room and was impaled by something. He looked down at the sprawling figure on the floor to discover it was a girl. She began apologizing quite profusely. Caden leaned down to help pick all the pastries that were dropped. He gave her a small smile.
"Don't worry about it. It's quite fine. Are you alright?"

"Don't worry about it. I'm quite fine. Are you alright?"
"I-I'm fine. Sorry!" Tayln quickly realized she was wasting time and said, "Sorry, I'm in a bit of a rush." She looked up and examined the person in front of her. He was strongly built. A knight, she thought to herself, and felt instantly foolish. Of course he's a knight. This is the night's hall. She suddenly realized who he was. Caden Lake. He was older than the last time she had seen him, but still obviously himself. No one else had those green eyes. He had been training to be a knight when Matek had. He was only a year younger than her brother, and she had seen him often as a young girl, hiding in her brother's rooms.
She remembered his sweet disposition and decided to introduce herself. "Hello, Caden. My name is Tayln. I think you know my brother, Matek?" she asked.

((OOC: You guys can use "Lady Kaite..." if you'd rather. "Madame" kinda makes her sound married )) "Sorry! I'm so sorry!"Livana watched with interest as the young girl before them dropped all she was carrying. "Don't worry about it. It's quite fine. Are you alright?"
"I-I'm fine. Sorry!" Tayln quickly realized she was wasting time and said, "Sorry, I'm in a bit of a rush."
"Hello, Caden. My name is Tayln. I think you know my brother, Matek?" Gods, Livana thought to herself as Caden followed her out the door. He knows this girl? She didn't want to butt in, as it wasn't her place to. Caden would handle it, and introduce Livana if he wished.

Talyn suddenly realized that Caden was accompianied by a small skinny girl. "Oh, hello." she said, blushing, annoyed that she hadn't noticed before. There was another person there too. "Sorry again, I have to go deliver these to my brother. He's in a meeting with Lady Katie." She explained and she started back down the hall.

"Oh, hello. Sorry again, I have to go deliver these to my brother. He's in a meeting with Lady Katie."
"Pleasure to have met you..."
Livana trailed off. She didn't know the girl's name.
"I'm Livana Ninoveltz. We're headed to that same meeting, so perhaps we can accompany you there."
Livana was being extremely polite. She didn't know why, but she was glad that she did, as she had just met two new people and didn't want to give a bad impression. A horrible one, anyways.
((OOC: Gah, it's short. We should probably wait for May

Annikka smiled at the girl and bent to pick up the girl's dropped pastries, handing them back to her. "I'm Annikka haMinch."
Directing her comment at Livana and Caden, she added, "I hope you know the way, because I don't know this part of the building and I'm lost. Really lost."
She looked around, bemoaning to herself the fact that these corridors all looked the same. At least the Healers' Wing had different wards- that was always helpful. And everyone knew the main parts of the palace.

Tayln nodded to the girls who introduced themselves. They looked vaugly familiar, but she couldn't really place where. She hoped they had never dated her brother. That might make for some akwardness. . . "Im Lavinia Ninoveltz. We're headed to the same meeting, so perhaps we can accompany you there." Tayln looked up in suprise at teh woman. She didn't seem to be ths kind to be polite. When Tayln had first seen her, she had instantly felt like Lavinia didn't like her. Now she was a little confused. She was usually good at reading peoples reactions to her. "I hope you know the way, because I don't know this part of the building and I am lost. Really lost."Tayln smiled. At least Annikka was honest. She seemed much kinder than Lavinia. "Don't worry," she said, even though the remark was clearly meant for the other two. "I know my way around." ((I may not be able to be on a lot. I have a mother who belives the internet is the root of all evil. If im gone for a while, like more than a day or two, just say that I left while you werent looking. Tayln's magic is stealth, so that would still totally work. Sorry

"Hello, Caden. My name is Tayln. I think you know my brother, Matek?" the girl said, introducing herself by way of her brother.
Caden did in fact know her brother. He and Matek had many fine 'adventures' together as pages and squires. He gave his friend's sister a wide grin. "Yes, I know him. How's he doing?"
He even remembered Tayln a bit too. She appeared not to have changed much. Still as busy as ever. Caden quickly realized that she didn't introduce herself to the other women, but allowed them to introduce themselves. Even Caden knew this was..lacking in manners.
He subtly apologized for her. "I'm sorry, my ladies, for not introducing you sooner. This is Tayln. She's a sister of an old friend of mine."
"I hope you know the way, because I don't know this part of the building and I'm lost. Really lost."
Caden glanced around apologetically. "I'm sorry. I'm still finding my way around." He figured he could probably find his way back out, but with many wrong turns.
Caden was glad when Tayln said, "Don't worry, I know my way around." That makes one of us, he thought.
