Ummm. . . Im here because I really like the book Terrier [even if I did get a bit confused about the title] I met aly on the twilight lex and told her that there was a new Tamora Pierce book out to which she answered that she already had a fansite for it. Well. I gave myself about three seconds to feel increadably stupid and then replied to ask her what it is. here i am. I am a technophobe and not very computer savvy so I might be having a lot of crises for a while till i get the hang of it. I have never done any RPG so yes, help me please. crap this was supposed to be short. Um. I like the Wild Magic Series [ we were supposed to do our favorite Tamora Pierce book right?] and I love to be on fansites but very rarely get internet access outside of being a library nerd. okay. so this is me. ~ Lindsey Swan

OOH. I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING.
Kay, so it's like this. If you go into the Character Applications forum, you'll see an aplication template. You make up a character and fill in those requirements. Look at the Profiles forum for a look at how we do it. Or our custom titles have our profiles and people. Like, mine says Princess Anitha Of Conte and Hinna Berser.

Hey Lindsey! Welcome to YOT! I'm Ali Hope you have fun! RPing really is simple once you get the hang of it. We all RP in the "Terrier" time period - I'm unsure if you were asking that question, or not. Basically, you create a character (Aly explained that) and you can either start a new thread, or RP in a thread appopriate for your character to be in. Reading everyone else's posts is a good way to see how exactly the RPing goes, but it's basically writing a little paragraph or two on your characters thoughts and feelings (and of course actions) on matters in that particular thread. Reading the rules will also help you along as well.

Hi there! Welcome! :-P. I'm Molly.
I also find it really helps to know your character very well. I usually have a tough time playing my characters when I first ..eh.. create them. But once you play them more, you get used to them. Also, make somebody you really truly like. Don't create a person who you hate completely. Unless that works for you. Then, kudos for ya.

Hi Lindsey!! I'm Anna, or Birdie or whatever you want to call me. I'm new to this RPG as well, and you should know that although these other people don't know it yet, I am the maddest person here! I'm just not on a high at the moment, because I am very sleepy.

Hello Lindsey! Very nice to meet you! (I feel like such a bad mod for being so late.) If you have any questions, feel free to post a it in General Discussion or PM me or Aly, or pretty much anyone else on the board come to think of it. We're really not as scary as we seem. I agree with Molly, RP-ing a character you find fun and know really well is always helpful. It's also sometimes helpful to create a first character that has the capabilities to interact with a lot of other characters. That way, you aren't always RP-ing with one character only. (I don't think that made much sense, did it?)

Right now Molly is making a character in the Character Applications forum. Look there if you want to see how the process goes. It's really quite painless.

He's my darling. ANYWAY.... I'm just kidding. Yeah, but really, go look there and see how it works. Then, you can read my profile for inspiration! And, I'm going to shut-up now and go to bed.

Yeah, he is. I love him more, but I do dearly love Caden. But, Ulayan is BETTER!!! He's my baby. Even though he is like...20.
