Well, like I say, it's so much easier if the ones who live in the main manor at least are played by one or two or even three people. If others want to get involved--and I hope they do, I encourage it--we NEED characters who are family friends/slaves/extended family/whatever. That way, they can have their own plots separate from ours; it also allows more widespread playing and plots. Also, if you want a family occasion, you can do so without all four/five/however many people.
